Job Type: Full-time (40 hours)

• Provide direct primary care to patients using established standards for clinical dental hygiene practice and OSHA infection control standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the dental record of all treatment rendered.
• Administer local, controlled and sustained release antimicrobial agents as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations by providing dental assessments of foster children.
• Perform oral screenings at 1-3 year old physical appointments in Pediatrics.
• Refer patients for specialty services as needed and support integrated care within the Health Center by referring to other services internally when indicated.

• Active CT Dental Hygienist license.
• Four‑year degree program or equivalent combination of education and experience of an Associate’s Degree (A.S.) from an accredited dental hygiene program resulting in a dental hygiene license and the minimum state‑mandated two years of clinical experience to practice unsupervised in a public health setting.
• Additional 1‑3 years or more experience in the dental hygiene field or related preferred.
• Certification in Administration of Local Anesthesia when applicable.
