Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – PRN
Norwichtown Rehab and Healthcare | Norwich, CT
$35–$40/hour | PRN
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity at Norwichtown Rehab and Healthcare. This flexible position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys hands‑on rehabilitation and helping residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.
What You'll Do- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening, and mobility
- Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising PT
- Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress or changes to the clinical team
- Reinforce safe movement techniques and mobility strategies
- Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- $35–$40/hour
- Flexible PRN scheduling
- Supportive rehabilitation environment
- Short‑term rehabilitation and long‑term care caseload
- Collaborative therapy team
- Opportunity to expand your clinical experience
- Active Connecticut PTA license required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing quality, resident‑centered care
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply
