Responsibilities

As an Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter II, you will:

• Provide insight into drafting and designing in a professional environment for United States Submarines.
• Conduct ship checks on SSN 688/688I, SEAWOLF, VIRGINIA, and OHIO Class submarines.
• Research submarine construction drawings.
• Develop 2D shipboard interconnect cabling diagrams.
• Create Wiring Tables, Elementary Wiring Diagrams, and List of Materials.
• Interpret Government Furnished Information (GFI) to meet design requirements.
• Supervise, aid, and mentor Designer/Drafter I coworkers.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
• High School Diploma or GED, Technical School CAD Certificate, or A.S./B.S. Degree in Drafting, CAD Design, or Engineering discipline.

Experience

• At least four (4) years of business experience creating 2D drawings using CAD software.
• Physically capable of conducting ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines, including working in confined spaces and climbing vertical ladders (20’–25’).
