Responsibilities
As an Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter II, you will:
- Provide insight into drafting and designing in a professional environment for United States Submarines.
- Conduct ship checks on SSN 688/688I, SEAWOLF, VIRGINIA, and OHIO Class submarines.
- Research submarine construction drawings.
- Develop 2D shipboard interconnect cabling diagrams.
- Create Wiring Tables, Elementary Wiring Diagrams, and List of Materials.
- Interpret Government Furnished Information (GFI) to meet design requirements.
- Supervise, aid, and mentor Designer/Drafter I coworkers.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED, Technical School CAD Certificate, or A.S./B.S. Degree in Drafting, CAD Design, or Engineering discipline.
Experience
- At least four (4) years of business experience creating 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Physically capable of conducting ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines, including working in confined spaces and climbing vertical ladders (20’–25’).
