Position: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Overview

Mini Melts is an established leader in cryogenically frozen ice cream. We are growing nationally and value advancement and growth for our employees. We are looking for a production supervisor to oversee our second-shift operations, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and safety across the production department.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure company standard practices and procedures are followed.
  • Supervise employees to ensure tasks are completed effectively; delegate to team members as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including inventory levels, production reports, and employee performance evaluations.
  • Step in and assist team members during short-staffed shifts to maintain productivity.
  • Mentor and motivate associates, providing training and development to optimize performance and growth.
  • Perform end-of-night inventory counts (full totes of ice cream).
  • Identify and address equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to minimize downtime and maximize production.
  • Adhere to Food Safety and Quality standards of Mini Melts USA, and ensure procedures are followed to keep product within specifications.
  • Assist in training of new employees.
  • Fill out and print all necessary paperwork for the production and packaging teams; complete daily worksheets as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Self-motivated with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Mechanically inclined to handle minor equipment issues.
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
  • Excel and Google Sheets skills.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Nice to Have
  • Food safety knowledge (HACCP, PCQI, Food Defense).
  • Bilingual:
    English and Spanish.

Qualified applicants should possess a can-do attitude. Experience in a busy, fast-paced environment is preferred.
