Audit & Assurance Senior​/Assistant Manager

The team predominantly undertakes audit and other assurance work on behalf of our clients, and is also responsible for accounts preparation and tax computations. We have audit clients across a range of sectors around the UK, from smaller not‑for‑profit organisations to entrepreneurial SMEs and large listed groups. No job is the same and we can guarantee variety, along with the opportunity to learn from a range of talented individuals, no matter your level.

In our Norwich‑based Audit & Assurance team, you can expect exposure to a diverse range of organisations from OMBs that expect a holistic service to large corporates with turnovers of up to £120m, e.g. listed companies and subsidiaries of large international groups. The length of assignments typically varies, but generally takes around one to two weeks, ensuring plenty of variety.

• Planning audit engagements and leading onsite teams (70% of time).
• Preparing accounts and drafting tax computations (30% of time).
• Liaising with clients to resolve any queries and escalating more complex matters to manager/partner.
• Reviewing team members' work before passing completed file to manager.
• Coaching juniors and providing feedback on the quality of their work and performance.
• Controlling assignment time in line with pre‑determined budget.

• Part qualified or fully qualified – ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA (minimum criteria).
• Experience of planning and leading external audits in an accountancy practice in the UK (minimum criteria).
• Knowledge of UK GAAP/FRS 102.
• Client‑facing experience.
• Experience of audit software (we use Caseware) and Microsoft packages.
