In this role you will be responsible for assisting with, and progressively taking ownership of, a portfolio of insolvency cases including predominantly liquidations and bankruptcies, but also administrations and voluntary arrangements.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include:
- Managing your own portfolio of insolvency cases under supervision.
- Maintaining case files and ensuring statutory compliance requirements are met.
- Preparing statutory documentation, reports and correspondence.
- Drafting reports to creditors and stakeholders.
- Preparing dividends and supporting case closure procedures.
- Assisting with investigations into company affairs and asset recoveries.
- Preparing Statements of Affairs and deficiency accounts.
- Communicating with directors, creditors, debtors, solicitors and other stakeholders.
- Supporting managers, senior managers and insolvency practitioners on more complex assignments.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members.
- Assisting with procedural improvements and identifying efficiencies within the department.
- Contributing to the training and development of colleagues.
We are keen to hear from candidates with previous insolvency experience who are looking to progress their career within a supportive and ambitious team. CPI qualification and prior IPS software experience are desirable but not required, as training and ongoing support will be available.
Experience & SkillsEssential:
- Minimum English and Mathematics GCSE’s at Grade 9 – 4 (A*
- C) or equivalent. - Very strong communication skills both written and verbally
- Excellent administration skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Previous experience within an insolvency practice.
- Understanding of insolvency legislation and technical resources.
- Experience of managing routine casework with appropriate supervision.
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues.

Salary: starting from £27,000
