We’re looking for a UK Office Manager who takes pride in creating a safe, well-run, and welcoming workplace.
You’ll have real ownership, autonomy, and the chance to shape how our office feels day to day. This role isn’t about just “keeping the lights on” - it’s about creating a workplace people genuinely enjoy coming into.
If you like being at the heart of the office, spotting issues before they become problems, and bringing people together, we’d love to hear from you.
RequirementsAbout the role
This is a hands-on, office-based role with real ownership. You’ll be the person who keeps the UK office running smoothly day to day — from facilities and health & safety, to suppliers, standards, and office culture. You’ll be a visible presence in the office, someone people trust, and a key part of what makes our workplace a great place to be.
At its core, this role is about:
- Keeping the office safe, organised, and well presented
- Owning facilities, suppliers, and health & safety compliance
- Bringing people together through a positive, inclusive office culture
What you’ll be responsible for
Workplace standards & operations
- Own the overall look, feel, and organisation of the office across all suites
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and usability
- Manage office supplies and stock in a cost-conscious way
- Oversee cleaning, maintenance, and plant services, resolving issues quickly
- Act as the main point of contact for landlords, managing agents, and suppliers
- Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed to a high standard
- Manage office access, alarms, CCTV, keys, and fobs
Health, safety & compliance
- Own onsite health & safety and ensure a safe working environment
- Carry out regular health & safety walk-arounds
- Review, maintain, and continuously improve risk assessments, fire safety documentation, and emergency procedures
- Ensure Fire Warden, First Aider, and Mental Health First Aider cover is in place
- Track and schedule required checks (fire equipment, emergency lighting, PAT where applicable)
- Monitor mandatory training and refreshers
Site presence & coordination
- Be a visible, approachable presence in the office
- Act as the first point of contact for onsite questions and issues
- Spot and resolve issues early through regular check-ins
- Occasionally support early evening or out-of-hours events
Socials, events & office culture
- Lead and coordinate the UK office social calendar (lunches, celebrations, seasonal events)
- Support hosting external tech or community events in our office
- Lead and coordinate UK CSR activities aligned with our values
Admin & operational support
- Maintain clear workplace trackers and documentation
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with budgets
- Support domestic and international travel bookings with Finance and HR
- Maintain office equipment records
- Partner with HR to support activities across the employee and candidate lifecycle
What we’re looking for
- Experience in an office, workplace, or facilities management role
- Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and office operations
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Working knowledge of workplace health & safety
- Comfortable managing budgets, systems, and processes
- Clear communicator, written and verbal
- Proactive, reliable, and detail-focused
- Comfortable being a hands-on, visible office presence
- Calm, practical, and solutions-focused
- Previous health & safety training
- Experience in a tech or high-growth environment
- Experience supporting office changes or improvements
- Familiarity with task or workplace tools (e.g. or similar)
- Interest in workplace culture, CSR, or community initiatives
