Junior Procurement Assistant

Due to continued growth, our city based client is looking to recruit a Junior Procurement Assistant to work closely with the Head of Procurement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, confident, and full of common sense, with a real roll your sleeves up attitude. We’re keen to hear from people who enjoy learning, are happy to give things a go, and thrive in a busy, team focused environment.

The Role

You will support the day to day procurement function, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing centralised administrative support to the procurement team, including booking meetings, arranging transport and deliveries, and handling internal enquiries
  • Creating and managing purchase orders
  • Resolving escalated invoice queries and responding to supplier enquiries
  • Onboarding and setting up new suppliers, including database administration
  • Acting as a key link between the procurement team, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting low value tender exercises
  • Producing regular procurement reports
  • Ensuring supplier and vendor information is accurate and kept up to date within procurement systems
Experience & Skills

We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong work ethic, along with:

  • Previous experience working within a construction environment
  • Supply Chain or Procurement experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop
  • Confidence using systems and databases (experience with Procore would be an advantage, but is not essential)
  • An understanding of the importance of delivering a first class service
  • UK Driving Licence
In Return

You’ll be joining a supportive, forward thinking team that values its people and offers ongoing training, development opportunities, and a great working environment.
