Join our friendly and dedicated Cley Ward team as a Ward Clerical Officer, playing a vital role at the heart of patient care.
As a Ward Clerk, you are often the first point of contact for patients, relatives and colleagues and provide essential clerical and administrative support to help the clinical team deliver safe, high quality and compassionate care.
You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team including nurses, doctors, allied health professionals and support staff who work closely together with a shared commitment to excellent care.

The Ward Clerical Officer provides a comprehensive clerical and administrative service to support the effective running of the ward and the delivery of high quality patient care. You will act as a key point of contact for patients, relatives and staff, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally, confidentially and efficiently.
Key duties include maintaining accurate patient records, managing admissions, discharges and transfers, updating electronic systems, arranging appointments and transport, answering telephone queries, welcoming visitors and supporting the multidisciplinary team with day to day administrative tasks. You will prioritise workloads, ensure information is communicated clearly, and contribute to a positive patient experience.
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, good IT and communication skills, and the ability to remain calm, professional and adaptable in a busy environment. You must enjoy working as part of a team, maintain confidentiality at all times, and demonstrate a patient focused and compassionate approach.
