Overview
We are looking to expand the talent within the Administration Service Centre based in the heart of Norwich. The role of a Case Administrator is vital; the work safeguards those in contact with London Probation Services and the community. The position is part of our probation helpdesk and administration teams supporting the London region.
Responsibilities- Take calls from people on probation, solicitors, court staff, and other third parties.
- Support a variety of administration needs including enforcement letters and operational administration.
- Ensure all processes run efficiently, systems are maintained correctly, and probation information is collated and prepared for case files.
- Handle enquiries from colleagues, agencies and people on probation in a busy environment.
- Maintain high quality and attention to detail while working as part of a resilient, collaborative team.
- Right to work in the UK and in the Civil Service (see nationality rules).
- Not eligible for a new Skilled Worker visa after 22 July 2025; must have held a Skilled Worker visa prior to that date to be considered for sponsorship.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Resilient, detail‑oriented, and a strong team player.
- Experience in a call‑centre or administrative role is desirable.
The MoJ offers hybrid working arrangements where business need allows. The role can be based at a variety of office, court, team, or prison locations within the Probation Service region, with a preference for a base within 60 minutes of the candidate’s home. Standard full‑time hours are 37 per week, excluding unpaid breaks.
