Receptionist - Maternity & Obstetric

A pooled receptionist post in Care Group D at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, supporting reception teams across the department, including wards and outpatient areas. The role provides a reception and support service to patients, relatives and multi-professional staff while handling many tasks  is permanent and needs flexible working to cover seven days a week, with shifts at any time within a 24-hour period.

• Provide a high-quality reception and support service in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Communicate well with patients, relatives, the public and multi-professional staff, inside and outside the Trust
• Support all reception teams across the department, including wards and outpatient reception areas
• Provide support to technical staff
• Handle a large number of different tasks at the same time
• Work flexibly, at any time in a 24-hour period, to cover seven days a week

• Good general standard of literacy and numeracy

• Previous clerical work, including data input

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritise
