Draftsperson

Position: Draftsperson (Permanent)
Clearfield are currently looking for a full time Draftsperson for a Norwich based Construction company. This on-site role involves creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and designs for roofing and cladding projects. Responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and architects, interpreting project requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and updating and revising drawings as needed to meet project specifications.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to construction projects in the commercial, retail & industrial sector. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a good understanding of construction processes.

Duties

• Producing electronic AutoCAD drawings for approval, construction, as-built and O&M purposes

• Taking off quantities and ordering materials related to company works

• Attending design and progress meetings as required

• Carrying out occasional site surveys to support the production of working drawings

• Answering site queries and providing general drawing office support to site teams

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing skills

• Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

• Experience with roofing or cladding projects is a plus

• Commitment to high-quality work and meeting project deadlines

• Willingness to attend meetings and site visits as and when required
