We’re looking for a commercially sharp, detail‑driven Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role within our Clients commercial team. The Role
You’ll be at the heart of our commercial operations, ensuring robust cost control, value for money and strong governance across a busy programme of planned refurbishment works. Your commercial insight will help shape delivery outcomes, support operational teams and safeguard the financial performance of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the commercial and financial performance of planned refurbishment projects
* Preparing and reviewing valuations, cost reports and financial forecasts
* Overseeing subcontractor accounts, applications and final accounts
* Controlling variations with accurate pricing and clear commercial justification
* Supporting the preparation of budgets, cashflow forecasts and CVRs
* Working closely with operational teams to align delivery with commercial targets
* Ensuring compliance with contract terms, schedule of rates and client requirements
* Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
* Supporting audits, reporting cycles and internal governance processes
This is a role for someone who brings strong commercial judgement, meticulous attention to detail and the confidence to build effective relationships across both operational and client teams.
About You
You’ll bring:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within construction, refurbishment or social housing
* A background in planned works or framework-based contracts
* Strong commercial awareness and cost control capability
* Confidence managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
* Solid understanding of contractual and commercial processes
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong IT literacy, including Excel and commercial systems
