Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Commercial team, Anglian Water @one Alliance

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will act as the commercial conscience within the integrated delivery team, supporting the delivery management and on‑site delivery teams to control costs, maximise value, minimise liabilities and maintain required standard of quality and safety. You will oversee full compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

• Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management of a project or group of projects designated by the Project Commercial Manager.
• Implement robust cost management processes, ensuring accurate and timely reports, data and analysis to support commercial decisions.
• Ensure all project team members, including site staff, understand contractual arrangements to satisfy Client & Partner requirements.
• Collaborate with the Delivery Team to identify, implement and monitor efficiency plans throughout the lifecycle of projects or programmes.
• Maintain proper records, including final accounts, to provide financial information for audits and cost assurance.
• Provide commercial support to delivery management and on‑site teams to control costs, maximise value and meet safety and quality standards.
• Ensure full compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures consistently.

• Extensive experience in managing costs within construction projects.
• Degree or equivalent in engineering, management, cost discipline or related field is beneficial.
• First‑class customer service and leadership skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of construction, safety and commercial processes.
• Ability to challenge existing practices and norms to improve commercial outcomes.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
