We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a key Earthworks project based in Norfolk . This role is for a high-profile client in the construction sector, with an estimated project duration of 18 months.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and delivering the construction phase, ensuring the project is completed on time, within scope, and budget, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, and milestones for the groundworks phase.
- Team Management: Lead, coordinate, and manage on-site teams, to ensure efficient operations.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations throughout the project.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project execution.
- Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and timely procurement of materials.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards, ensuring all works comply with design specifications and industry regulations.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports, adjusting the project approach as needed.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in heavy civils
, with specific experience in earthworks projects. - Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or similar disciplines.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in managing Site Costs, Programme, Material Planning, and Forecasts.
- Health & Safety: SMSTS certification preferred.
- Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and the project team.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly resolve issues on-site and keep the project moving forward.
- Full UK Driving License: A valid driver’s license is required due to the nature of site visits.
