Position Details

Assistant Site Manager – Norwich. Salary: £200–£240 per day (CIS, open to discussion). Bennett & Game are representing a well‑established main contractor delivering high‑quality construction and refurbishment projects across the South and East of England. The business specialises in bespoke residential schemes and is looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join their growing team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with day‑to‑day management of a residential adaptation and extension project.
  • Support the Site Manager in coordinating subcontractors and direct labour on site.
  • Monitor progress and help ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements.
  • Assist with quality control inspections to maintain high standards of finish.
  • Support site health and safety procedures and general site organisation.
  • Help coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics.
  • Liaise with trades and suppliers to support smooth project delivery.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Foreman on residential or similar projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations.
  • Experience working alongside multiple trades and subcontractors.
  • Proactive and hands‑on approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety requirements.
  • SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent qualification desirable.
  • Must be based locally to Norwich or able to commute regularly to site.
