Operating both in the UK and across the world, they are a leading contractor delivering projects across multiple sectors including; real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water.

Your new role
Working on the major highways improvement scheme in the Norfolk region, they require a Section Engineer. As Section Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing critical elements of the works including earthworks and drainage. You will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, quality and technical requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and supervising site engineering activities across earthworks, drainage and highway construction packages.
Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with design specifications, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
Reviewing drawings, design information and technical specifications, identifying and resolving construction issues.
Coordinating subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure successful delivery of works.
Managing setting out, quality control and as-built records.
Contributing to construction methodology reviews and ensuring buildability considerations are incorporated into delivery plans.
Monitoring progress against programme and developing short-term plans to ensure key milestones are achieved.
Supporting Site Agents and Project Managers with planning, reporting and technical compliance.
Driving a right-first-time approach across all engineering activities.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience delivering major highways or infrastructure projects.
Strong background in earthworks, drainage, road construction and associated infrastructure works.
Good understanding of highways specifications, quality processes and engineering assurance requirements.
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work fronts.
SMSTS & CSCS card.
Valid driving licence
