Freelance Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a client undertaking a commercial project in Norfolk. We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to work within a commercial team on site.

Your Day-To-Day Duties:

Day-to-day commercial and surveying activities on a £30m prison project
Review and assess subcontractor valuations and applications for payment
Prepare monthly cost reports, accruals and cost-to-complete forecasts
Assist with subcontract procurement, tender analysis and commercial comparisons
Monitor project costs, expenditure and profitability against budget
Work closely with the Project Manager, Commercial Manager and wider site team
Support with measurements, variations, valuations and general quantity surveying duties
Maintain accurate commercial records and provide regular cost updates

The Requirements

Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
Self-motivated and an ability to work alone
Ability to take initiative in resolving problems.
Previous surveying responsibilities
Ability to us MS Excel Salary & Package

The rate on offer is negotiable, dependent on an individuals experience.
