Freelance Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a client undertaking a commercial project in Norfolk. We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to work within a commercial team on site.

Your Day-To-Day Duties:

• Day-to-day commercial and surveying activities on a 30m prison project
• Review and assess subcontractor valuations and applications for payment
• Prepare monthly cost reports, accruals and cost-to-complete forecasts
• Assist with subcontract procurement, tender analysis and commercial comparisons
• Monitor project costs, expenditure and profitability against budget
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Commercial Manager and wider site team
• Support with measurements, variations, valuations and general quantity surveying duties
• Maintain accurate commercial records and provide regular cost updates

The Requirements

• Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Self-motivated and an ability to work alone
• Ability to take initiative in resolving problems.
• Previous surveying responsibilities
• Ability to us MS Excel

Salary & Package

The rate on offer is negotiable, dependent on an individuals experience.
