A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Riverside Dental, Norwich for a friendly, professional, and patient-focused Receptionist to join our award-winning, fully private practice.
You'll be joining a supportive and friendly reception team, working closely alongside our Head Receptionist and another Receptionist, as well as our wider clinical team.

AboutThe Role
We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and patient-focused Receptionist to join our friendly team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist private dental practice, where you will be an important part of the patient journey from the moment they contact us through to the completion of their treatment.
You will be the first point of contact for many of our patients, creating a warm and welcoming environment while providing a professional and efficient reception service.
Working HoursA consistent two day working pattern:- Wednesday: 7:45am-5:00pm
- Saturday: 7:45am-2:00pm
As a Receptionist at Riverside Dental, you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding patient experience and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our front-of-house operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients to the practice in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries
- Managing patient appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling
- Taking payments and processing transactions accurately
- Supporting patients with enquiries regarding treatments and appointments
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Liaising closely with clinicians and the wider practice team
- Supporting the practice with administrative duties as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming reception environment
- Providing an exceptional level of customer service throughout every stage of the patient journey
- Handling patient information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Has previous experience in a reception, customer service, or administrative role
- Has a positive, caring, and professional approach
- Is confident communicating with patients face-to-face and over the telephone
- Enjoys working as part of a supportive team
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is organised, efficient, and has great attention to detail
- Is confident using computer systems and able to learn new software quickly
- Is proactive, reliable, and committed to providing high standards of customer service
- Remains calm and professional in a busy environment
- Has a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional patient experience
Previous experience within a dental or healthcare environment would be an advantage but is not essential, as full support will be provided for the right candidate.
