Job Overview
NNUHFT is a vibrant, aspirational organisation, working towards becoming a Neurosciences Centre of Excellence to respond to the National Stroke Plan. We are looking to add to our established Stroke Services team by appointing to a substantive, whole time (10PA) consultant position, to support expansion of stroke services and development of mechanical thrombectomy.
The post holder will be expected to participate in Stroke on calls, covering out of hours on call for NNUH, QEH and JPUH as part of the Norfolk & Waveney University Hospitals Group.
Opportunity to join a flexible and friendly multidisciplinary team with good development potential including research, service development, and teaching.
The appointment is to the Trust, not to specific hospitals.
Responsibilities- Thrombolysis and Thrombectomy referrals
- Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) ward round
- Acute Stroke Unit (ASU) ward round
- Rehabilitation Unit ward round
- Administration time
- TIA Clinic
- CPD to develop own specialist stroke service interests
