Education Progress Coordinator & Tutor

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location:

Norwich-based (travel required)

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00 – Full-time (40 hrs/week), Term Time + 3 weeks

Eleven 11 Recruitment is working with a specialist education provider seeking a dedicated Progress Coordinator & Tutor to support young people through personalised learning and quality oversight of educational provision. This hybrid role combines tutoring (approx. 2 days/week) with coordination responsibilities (approx. 3 days/week), offering the opportunity to directly impact student outcomes while influencing educational quality across a caseload.

Key Responsibilities Progress Coordination
  • Oversee progress and engagement for a caseload of ~30 students
  • Review assessments, EHCPs and referrals
  • Monitor progress data and reporting quality
  • Build relationships with students, families and education staff
  • Conduct session visits and support tutor development
  • Escalate concerns and maintain safeguarding standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Tutoring
  • Deliver personalised lessons aligned to learner needs
  • Track progress in core subjects
  • Apply inclusive, trauma‑informed teaching approaches
  • Promote literacy, communication and independent learning
  • Provide feedback, assessment and reporting
  • Manage behaviour positively and professionally
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience with the UK Curriculum
  • Lesson planning and delivery experience (1 year)
  • Strong relationship‑building skills
  • Caseload management – 1 year
  • Safeguarding knowledge – 1 year
  • IT competence (Windows‑based reporting tools)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
  • Degree or QTS
  • SEND or alternative provision experience
  • Caseload or mentoring experience
Preferred Certification
  • QTS
