Position

White House Farm Primary School is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our school in September 2026.

Location

White House Farm Primary School, Norwich NR7 8DN

Salary

Pro rata: £19,022 – £19,984 per annum (includes holiday pay allowance). Full time equivalent: £25,185 – £25,989 per annum.

Vacancy Type

Permanent, full‑time, term‑time plus 1 week, 32.5 hours per week.

Starting Date

September 2026.

Established in September 2019, our modern building and exceptional grounds include two playgrounds, a vast games field and an outdoor learning classroom, creating an exciting and stimulating outdoor learning area for our youngest children. Responsibilities
  • Work under the guidance of teachers to support pupils with SEND, ensuring learning needs are met.
  • Provide additional teaching and support in the classroom.
  • Assist in planning and preparing resources for lessons.
  • Monitor pupil progress and safety during all school activities.
Qualifications
  • GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 in English and Mathematics.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably primary school age, in a classroom or similar environment.
  • Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Commitment to high teaching, learning and professional development standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, a warm and caring personality, and a good sense of humour.
  • Understanding of inclusive environments and high expectations on pupil behaviour.
  • Professionalism, welcoming and friendly approach.
  • Ability to ensure safety and well‑being of pupils in all school areas.
