White House Farm Primary School is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our school in September 2026.

SalaryPro rata: £19,022 – £19,984 per annum (includes holiday pay allowance). Full time equivalent: £25,185 – £25,989 per annum.
Vacancy TypePermanent, full‑time, term‑time plus 1 week, 32.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities- Work under the guidance of teachers to support pupils with SEND, ensuring learning needs are met.
- Provide additional teaching and support in the classroom.
- Assist in planning and preparing resources for lessons.
- Monitor pupil progress and safety during all school activities.
- GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 in English and Mathematics.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably primary school age, in a classroom or similar environment.
- Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Commitment to high teaching, learning and professional development standards.
- Excellent communication skills, a warm and caring personality, and a good sense of humour.
- Understanding of inclusive environments and high expectations on pupil behaviour.
- Professionalism, welcoming and friendly approach.
- Ability to ensure safety and well‑being of pupils in all school areas.
