We are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and creative Reception Teacher to join our early years team in Lowestoft. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to giving children the very best start to their school journey. You will play a key role in creating a warm, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.

This role is 5 days per week, starting after the Easter Half Term until the Summer Term ends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inspiring learning environment that supports children’s curiosity, independence, and early development.
  • Develop positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support the holistic development of every child.
  • Use observations and assessments to track progress, identify learning needs, and inform next steps.
  • Foster the social, emotional, and communication skills essential for school readiness.
  • Work collaboratively with the EYFS team and wider school staff to deliver a cohesive early years provision.
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour expectations, and school policies at all times.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an ECT (Early Career Teacher) looking for their first role.
  • Has a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
  • Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a child-centred approach to teaching.
  • Is patient, positive, and able to build strong relationships with young learners.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to inclusion, wellbeing, and delivering the highest standards of early education.
