justteachers is pleased to be supporting one of our valued partner secondary schools in Norwich in their search for a reliable and adaptable Secondary Cover Teacher. This is a part‑time, flexible role offering ad hoc cover on an ongoing basis, with an immediate start available.

The school prides itself on maintaining a positive and structured learning environment, even in the absence of permanent teaching staff. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and flexibility, and who can confidently deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects while ensuring continuity of learning for pupils.

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a variety of subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4
• Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensure pupils remain on task and engaged with their learning
• Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
• Adapt confidently to different subjects and classroom settings
• Uphold and follow the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures

Pre‑requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
• Experience working within a secondary school setting
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A flexible, proactive, and reliable approach
• Confidence delivering lessons across a range of subjects
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Two education‑based references from within the last two years
