Cover Supervisor

About the role:

Justteachers are working with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in Norwich is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team on a long‑term supply basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, graduates, or anyone with strong communication skills and a passion for education. You’ll be supported by a friendly staff team and clear school procedures that help you feel confident in the classroom.

• Deliver pre‑set lessons across a range of subjects
• Maintain a calm, productive classroom environment
• Manage behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage participation
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures

• Experience working with young people (school‑based)
• Two education or school based references
• Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills
• Ability to manage behaviour calmly and effectively
• Adaptable, reliable and able to think on your feet
• A positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn
