About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking Special Educational Needs (SEN) School based in the beautiful area of Aylmerton, Norfolk.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, differentiated English lessons that support students individual learning journeys and promote confidence, communication, and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, inclusive, and differentiated English lessons tailored to students with SEN
  • Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider staff teams
  • Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment where every student can thrive
  • Contribute to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English at KS3/KS4 level (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
  • A strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
