About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking Special Educational Needs (SEN) School based in the beautiful area of Aylmerton, Norfolk.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, differentiated English lessons that support students individual learning journeys and promote confidence, communication, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver creative, inclusive, and differentiated English lessons tailored to students with SEN
Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider staff teams
Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment where every student can thrive
Contribute to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
Experience teaching English at KS3/KS4 level (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
A strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
