School of Engineering, Mathematics and Physics Lecturer or Associate Professor in Actuarial Science

Salary on Lecturer B (grade
8) will be £48,822 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £56,535 per annum.

Salary on Associate Professor (grade
9) will be from £58,225 per annum, with an annual increment up to £67,468 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer or Associate Professor to join the School of Engineering, Mathematics and Physics to plan, teach and assess Actuarial Science topics at undergraduate level.

Teaching is a key part of this role and as such you will be expected to teach on undergraduate programmes taking responsibility for the delivery and assessment of specific modules. This will include organising modules and developing teaching and learning materials. You will also take an active role in developing new and exciting modules and course programmes and promote enterprise and engagement at UEA.

A PhD (or equivalent professional qualification) in a relevant subject area with proven experience of high quality teaching relevant to the subject (or significant professional experience) is essential. You will have evidence of leadership of course development and the use of a range of both innovative and traditional pedagogical practices. Experience of managing enterprise and engagement projects and marketing Higher Education courses would be advantageous.

This full-time post is available on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2030.

One appointment will be considered at either Lecturer B (grade
8) or Associate Professor (grade
