Apprenticeship Workplace Based Assessor Higher Education 14.8 hours per week, to be worked flexibly throughout the week Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year Salary £27,994 - £29,856 per annum (Actual Salary £11,197 to £11,942 per annum). At City College Norwich we have seen an influx in demand for Higher Apprentices in the Engineering field. To help support and prepare these apprentices for industry we are looking to recruit an Apprenticeship Assessor to support the apprentices through their programme and into gateway and through to EPA, enabling a bridge between their academic studies and their work place experiences and assessment.

• Manage a caseload of apprentices, regularly meeting with them and employers.
• Run workshops (one per term per group).
• Track progress and review off-job hours.
• Support, guide and build a portfolio of evidence for apprentices as they work towards completing the apprenticeship.
• Develop standard operating procedures.
• Support apprentices through Gateway and EPA.

• Relevant experience in higher education or apprenticeship assessment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• All new appointed employees are required to complete an enhanced DBS Check and register with the DBS Update Service.
• From the 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules; we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates issued before this date, so a new one must be completed with the organisation.
