Employment Job Coach – General Enterprise (Easton Campus)

FTE, 18.5 hours per week, Term time 38 weeks per year
£27,994 - £29,856 per annum (Actual salary £11,730 - £12,510 per annum)
Starting September 2026

We are looking for a proactive and supportive Employment Job Coach to join our Inclusive Learning team at the Easton campus. This role is key to helping our General Enterprise learners to develop the skills, confidence, and experience they need to move towards employment in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Lecturer to support delivery of an E2 Gateway Enterprise Qualification.
Coach and mentor students to identify their strengths, set goals, and develop team working and customer service skills.
Facilitate access to meaningful work experience and volunteering opportunities. Supporting onsite work experience in the campus shop Bark & Basics.
Build relationships with local employers and community organisations to create work placement and volunteering placement pathways.
Provide tailored support to help learners overcome barriers and develop basic employability skills.

About You:

Experience in employability support, coaching, or mentoring, ideally within education or community settings.
A person-centred approach with a strong commitment to inclusion.
Experience working with learners who face barriers to learning, and who have an inclusion need.
Excellent communication and networking skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.
TSI (Systematic Instruction) training would be beneficial. If you do not already have this, there will be the opportunity to undertake this training as part of the role.

As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service.

From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
