About the role:

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive Primary school, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SRB Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term supply basis starting in September.

This role will involve supporting a small group of 5 Key Stage 2 pupils with EHCPs and additional special educational needs within a mainstream Primary school setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing tailored learning support, helping pupils to achieve both academically and personally within a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils
  • Support Key Stage 2 pupils with EHCPs and a range of additional learning needs
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet pupils’ individual needs and learning styles
  • Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals where required
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, contributing towards EHCP targets and reviews
  • Manage behaviour positively and consistently in line with the school’s policies
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development
  • Maintain accurate records, planning, and assessment documentation
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community
Pre-requisites:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience working within SEN or inclusive educational settings is desirable
  • Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs
  • A strong understanding of differentiated learning and inclusive teaching practices
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential
  • Two recent education-based references
