About the role:

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive Primary school in West Norwich, near Costessey, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term supply basis starting in September.

This friendly and inclusive school is committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging lessons to a Year 4 class, supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support and challenge pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback where appropriate
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and parents
  • Contribute to the wider school community and school activities where required
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners within the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records and complete planning and marking responsibilities
  • Support pupils’ academic and personal development throughout Key Stage 2
Pre-requisites:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching within a Primary school setting, ideally KS2
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s development
  • Two recent education-based references
