Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team and help make a lasting difference to the lives of young people with SEND and complex needs.

This is much more than a classroom support role. You'll play a key part in helping students build confidence, develop independence, celebrate achievements and reach their full potential. Whether you're supporting learning, encouraging social development, exploring outdoor activities or celebrating those breakthrough moments, you'll be there every step of the way.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting students with SEND and complex needs to engage in learning and achieve their individual goals.
• Providing one-to-one and small group support both in and beyond the classroom.
• Building positive, trusted relationships that help students feel safe, valued and confident.
• Promoting emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour and social development.
• Encouraging independence, communication skills and personal growth.
• Working closely with teachers, families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for students.

What you will bring

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) required.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with students, families and colleagues.
• Is patient, resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoys working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

About Acorn Park School

Acorn Park School is an independent Autism specialist school in rural South Norfolk supporting autistic children and young people aged 4-19. Set within a large 37-acre private estate, the school provides a safe, nurturing environment where students are placed at the heart of everything we do. We have two curriculum pathways, Formal and Semi-Formal, to support the wide range of needs and abilities of the students at the school.

We have an integrated clinical team that provide a range of therapeutic approaches including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Psychotherapy. The school benefits from extensive facilities including specialist subject spaces such as a DT room, Science lab, outdoor education space, animal care farm, horticulture polytunnels, and a commercial kitchen. Working in partnership with families, we empower students to grow in confidence, develop independence, and thrive as they prepare for their next steps in life.
