• Review and summarise complex reports to support decision‑making
• Interpret monitoring data and model outputs to protect water quality
• Use data to inform and refine oceanic water‑quality models
• Apply sound records‑management principles and maintain data integrity
• Communicate technical findings to non‑technical audiences and elevate challenges when necessary
• Build strong relationships across a dispersed team and with external partners
• Contribute to incident‑response duties, receiving full training and support; additional payment and flexible arrangements may apply

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant science or engineering discipline; professional membership (or working towards) preferred
• Experience in data analysis; knowledge of modelling software is desirable
• Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Access, R, Power BI, GIS, and specialist packages (e.g., Mike, Cormix)
• Comfortable working virtually and travelling for occasional national meetings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional teams
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and achieve results within a flexible environment
