Position: Graduate Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer

This permanent Graduate Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer role is based in Norwich, offering a salary between £26,000 and £32,000 per annum plus pension and professional fees. The position involves a mix of site and office work, focusing on ground investigation projects.

About the Company

My client is a firm of engineering consultants specialising in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental projects. They operate across multiple UK offices and provide comprehensive support and training to engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Specify, operate and interpret geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations.
  • Perform and supervise ground investigation tasks such as machine trial pit excavations, borehole drilling supervision, infiltration testing, ground gas monitoring, groundwater sampling and field data collection.
  • Prepare and deliver foundation recommendations, ground condition advice, soil infiltration reports, contamination assessments and remediation verification.
  • Plan, specify, and supervise ground investigation projects, including design of earthworks and geotechnical solutions.
  • Develop interpretative reporting and support project delivery.
Candidate Requirements
  • Appropriate degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or similar; MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Environmental Science preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge of ground investigation planning, specification, supervision and reporting.
  • Experience in redesign of earthworks and geotechnical solutions.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to learn foundation recommendations, ground condition advice, soil infiltration, contamination assessments and remediation verification.
