Overview
Structural Engineer – Norwich, Norfolk
Full-Time | Permanent. Competitive Salary + Benefits. Due to continued growth and several upcoming projects, we are looking to recruit a Structural Engineer to join our team in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion. You will be involved in both the structural design and project delivery of a diverse range of schemes across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
Responsibilities- Produce structural designs and calculations for a variety of building projects.
- Manage projects from initial brief through to completion.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants.
- Attend design meetings and site visits as required.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Mentor and support junior engineers where appropriate.
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Previous experience working as a Structural Engineer within a UK consultancy.
- Experience designing in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Proficient in industry-standard design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, Master Series, or similar.
- Good understanding of current UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Working towards Chartered status (ICE or IStructE) is desirable but not essential.
