This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments, alongside experienced professionals and play a key role in the ongoing development of our Civil Engineering team.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, contributing to project planning and execution.
  • Utilise software tools such as AutoCAD, Site 3D, PDS, and Causeway Flow to produce detailed engineering drawings and models.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and compliance with design specifications.
  • Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project documentation, ensuring clarity and precision in communication.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to gather requirements and provide updates on project status.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in civil engineering technologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Ideally based in Norfolk or willing to commute to our Norwich office.
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related field, or possess equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Approximately 3–5 years’ experience in drainage and highway design, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficient in using engineering software, particularly AutoCAD, Site 3D, PDS, and Causeway Flow.
  • Actively progressing towards professional membership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or a similar professional body.
  • Strong understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) and health and safety requirements in civil engineering.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a technical team, contributing positively to team dynamics.
  • Full UK driving licence to facilitate site visits and client meetings.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and environmental impact assessments.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) practices and software.
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles, enhancing client relationships and project outcomes.

  • Flexible working arrangements to accommodate personal commitments.
  • Payment of up to two professional memberships per year to support your career development.
  • Comprehensive mentoring, continuing professional development (CPD), and knowledge sharing opportunities.
  • Cycle to work salary sacrifice scheme to promote sustainable commuting options.
  • Additional benefits and perks to enhance your employment experience.
  • Pension scheme with a 5% employer contribution to support your future.
