Who are we?The Integrated Operational Solution contract is a 5-year programme valued at approximately £444 million, delivering specialist water and water recycling projects.
Role OverviewThis role involves managing projects under the NEC3 contract suite, with a focus on Option E (Pre-Contract Planning) and Option A (Priced Contract with Activity Schedule). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and delivery teams to ensure robust management of contractual obligations and compliance with Anglian Water’s governance standards. The role is employed by Anglian Water and involves working in partnership with alliance partners Barhale, Kier, and MGroup.
Whatwill you be doing as our Project Engineer
- Provide engineering leadership and technical assurance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are developed, designed, constructed and commissioned in accordance with business requirements, regulatory obligations, governance standards and health & safety expectations.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, contractors and delivery partners to develop solutions, manage risk, assure technical compliance and deliver sustainable business outcomes that provide value to customers and the business.
- Scope technical solutions that meet operational and business needs.
- Challenge data, assumptions, and drivers to identify the best value solution.
- Lead Delivery Assurance meetings across the project lifecycle.
- Review project outputs to ensure governance and compliance requirements are met.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, designers, operational teams, and stakeholders.
- Undertake site assurance activities during construction and commissioning.
- Provide engineering expertise throughout delivery and own technical issues through to resolution.
- Education to A level of equivalent
- Appropriate engineering qualifications (desirable)
- Knowledge of H&S legislation as well as CDM Regulation
- Water Industry Experience
- Understanding of NEC contracts
- Full UK Drivers Licence
