Job Description:

Controls & Commissioning Engineer (PLC, FAT & Commissioning Support) Senior Controls & Commissioning Engineer to support PLC / HMI software, FAT, Pre-FAT, iFAT and commissioning activities across projects, supplier facilities and project locations in the UK, Turkey and Vietnam. The role will support Hydraulic Power Unit packages and CAFS / INERT fire suppression control panels, including software readiness, controlled software updates, Cause & Effect Matrix verification, functional testing, troubleshooting and commissioning support.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Siemens and/or Rockwell PLC experience, HMI / SCADA capability, FAT/SAT delivery experience, functional safety awareness and the ability to work directly with engineering, project, supplier and client teams to close critical controls issues before they impact project milestones. Location Nottingham or Wymondham (Norwich) Hybrid working arrangement Minimum 3 days per week office presence Travel to supplier and project locations in the UK, Turkey and Vietnam as required Contract Type Agency Contractor Project delivery support role Travel required for FAT, Pre-FAT, iFAT and commissioning activities

Role Overview The Controls & Commissioning Engineer will work closely with E&IC Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing and Supplier teams to support: PLC and HMI software testing and troubleshooting Siemens PCS7 / TIA Portal / WinCC and/or Rockwell Studio 5000 FAT, Pre-FAT and iFAT execution Commissioning and operational support Cause & Effect verification Functional testing and issue resolution Controlled software updates and configuration management Supplier and customer technical support The role is intended to provide practical engineering support during design verification, FAT readiness, commissioning and software issue closure activities.

Siemens PCS7 / TIA Portal / WinCC and/or Rockwell Studio 5000 programming FAT Pre-FAT iFAT SAT Commissioning Loop checks Functional testing Software issue resolution Customer witness testing Candidate Profile We are seeking a practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys solving technical problems and actively supports delivery activities. The successful candidate should ideally have: 5-10 years of controls engineering experience Strong Siemens PLC experience FAT and commissioning experience Industrial, marine, oil & gas or packaged equipment background Ability to work independently and travel when required Strong communication skills with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

The position is not intended to be primarily project management focused. The successful candidate should be comfortable performing detailed engineering, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning activities directly.
