Senior Project Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major £200m Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable installation project in Norwich. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role on a nationally significant energy infrastructure scheme that will support the UK's future power network and energy transition.

Working closely with the Project Director, you will lead a multidisciplinary delivery team and be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the project through ECI, construction and through to completion.

About you

We are looking for a proven project leader with the capability to manage large-scale, complex infrastructure projects and inspire high-performing teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

Significant experience operating as a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager or equivalent leadership role on major infrastructure projects.
Previous experience delivering EHV cable, transmission, utilities, power, energy or large-scale civil engineering projects.
A strong background working for a Tier 1 contractor within the civil engineering, energy or infrastructure sectors.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary delivery teams on a similar scale.
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, change control and programme performance.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
A detailed understanding of construction management, project controls and risk management.
Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations and the implementation of safe systems of work.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
The ability to perform effectively within a fast-paced and challenging project environment.

Ideally you will also possess:

Experience delivering National Grid, transmission, cable installation or major energy infrastructure projects.
Relevant engineering, construction or project management qualifications.
A track record of successfully delivering large-scale civil engineering or utility projects from inception to completion.
Experience managing joint ventures, complex stakeholder interfaces and large subcontractor work packages.
