Head Receptionist Vacancy:
Norwich Longwater

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Head Receptionist to join our Norwich Longwater Vets for Pets Practice.

Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

You will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care.

• From £13.50/hour DOE
• 22 hours per week
• 4 x 5.5 hour shifts working hours between 8.30am and 7.30pm (including Fridays 2pm-7.30pm)
• No weekends, but occasional cover with sickness (weekends are based at our Sprowston branch consisting of Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10.30am-4.30pm)
• Flexibility to cover additional shifts when needed up to a maximum of 40 hours a week

You will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care. You will be the friendly and welcoming face for the clients and their pets when they arrive at the practice. You will provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.

You are calm, attentive, and always focus on the clients’ needs. You bring enthusiasm and drive to your role with a passion for service and care for pets. You will handle situations ranging from comforting a distressed client to celebrating a puppy’s first visit to the vet. You contribute to a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.

• Previous Managerial experience essential
• Previous customer care experience essential – working front of house
• Confident dealing with customer complaints
• Excellent communication skills
