Salary: £27, 945.00 per annum

As an
Accounts Assistant
you will provide financial and administrative support to the Finance Team. The candidate must be comfortable engaging with budget holders about invoice allocations, have some understanding around the nature of costs and where invoices should be allocated to, resolving queries with suppliers, possess spreadsheet skills including basic Excel formulas, and effectively communicate with vendors regarding invoices during the peak seasons. You will be organised, with a proactive approach, strong communication skills and the ability to carry out tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
You will be a team player, keen to learn and willing to get stuck in!
What you’ll do
The majority of the role will be purchase ledger invoice entry, you will also be posting weekly cashbooks and banking, RMS and till checks, invoicing, and sales ledger. This is not an exhaustive list, as we are a small team you may be asked to assist with other responsibilities.
What you’ll bring – Experience
Experience in a similar position would be preferred, full training on specific systems will be provided, AAT Level 2 is desirable or a accountancy or business studies degree.
What you’ll bring – Skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office packages
Good understanding of Accounting packages (training will be given on specific packages)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet fixed deadlines
Ability to work with a high attention of detail.
Although the role is based in Norwich, on occasion you may be required to travel to Kelling Heath or Woodhill Park and you will be able to access the discount benefits and free health club membership for you and your family.
