Financial Controller - Senior Leadership Role

Atkinson Moss have been engaged to support a 'growth' client based in Norwich, as they seek to appoint their new Financial Controller. They are seeking an accomplished Financial Controller to lead their finance function through an exciting phase of growth and transformation. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can ensure robust financial performance, deliver accurate reporting, and drive the business toward its ambitious goals.

As Financial Controller, you'll be working alongside the Finance Director, shaping financial strategy, strengthening internal controls, and developing a high-performing team that supports sustainable success. Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management: Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Compliance & Controls: Manage statutory accounts, audits, and tax obligations while maintaining strong internal control frameworks.
  • Financial Planning: Own the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes; provide insightful analysis to drive informed decision-making.
  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing financial insight to shape long-term strategy and investment decisions.
  • Process Excellence: Identify and implement process improvements, driving efficiency, automation, and best practice across finance systems.
  • Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
