Assistant Property Accountant – JLL, Norfolk, G (On‑site)
OverviewJLL is seeking an Assistant Property Accountant to support the Property Accounting team within Financial Management. The role involves preparing financial reports, maintaining controls, and collaborating closely with finance, surveyors and stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily financial operations and reporting, including Trial Balance and VAT reports.
- Create and deliver ad‑hoc reporting for internal and external stakeholders such as surveyors and solicitors.
- Reconcile tenant and landlord direct recoveries.
- Assist with mobilisation and demobilisation of property transactions.
- Handle day‑to‑day client and occupier queries.
- Perform general accounting and administrative duties as required.
- Collaborate with Property Accountants and Senior Property Accountants across the portfolio.
- Monitor key performance indicators, resolve issues, and complete control account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, escalating problems promptly.
- Act as a point of contact for specific clients, liaise with surveyors and finance teams, attend meetings, and maintain strong communication links.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, V‑Lookups, X‑Lookups).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork orientation.
- Flexible, able to work under pressure, multi‑task and prioritize.
- Organised with keen attention to detail, able to meet tight deadlines.
- AAT Level3 qualified or equivalent, with a desire for further study.
- Knowledge of client systems such as Yardi, MRI or Horizon is advantageous.
