Investment Administrator

Location: Norwich
Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Working Pattern: Office-based during probation period, with hybrid working available following probation

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Investment Administrator to join an established investment and wealth management team in Norwich.

Working closely with experienced Investment Managers, you will provide high-quality administrative and operational support across a portfolio of private clients. This is a varied role offering exposure to investment administration, portfolio management, client service and financial markets
.

You will play an important role in ensuring client portfolios are administered accurately and efficiently, while maintaining a high standard of service and working within the relevant regulatory and compliance framework.

The role would suit either an experienced financial services professional looking to progress their career within investment management
, or a recent graduate with a relevant degree looking to establish a career within the sector
.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to Investment Managers across a range of client activities.
  • Assist with more complex administrative tasks, including preparing correspondence, maintaining client records, producing file notes and coordinating client meetings.
  • Provide a high standard of service to clients, ensuring requests and administrative matters are dealt with accurately and within appropriate timescales.
  • Support the administration of new and existing client accounts, including account opening and closure processes.
  • Assist with the transfer of investments and stock between accounts.
  • Process client payments and other portfolio-related transactions.
  • Maintain accurate client and investment information within the relevant portfolio management system.
  • Update and maintain static client and account data.
  • Produce reports and analysis using data held within internal systems, including Excel-based reporting.
  • Assist Investment Managers with the processing and administration of investment trades, ensuring instructions are accurately executed and recorded.
  • Where appropriate, take and process client instructions relating to non-complex investment transactions within an execution-only service.
  • Support the preparation and organisation of client meetings, presentations and new business pitches.
  • Assist with the preparation of relevant client documentation and meeting materials.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider investment and operations teams.
  • Provide support on team projects and wider business initiatives when required.
  • Contribute to initiatives designed to improve processes, efficiency and client service.
  • Identify opportunities to improve working practices and share knowledge and best practice with colleagues.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of investment markets, financial services and the wider wealth management industry.
  • Complete relevant technical training and professional development as required.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably associated with the role.
