Pure are working with a well-established and growing FMCG group with UK and international operations to appoint a Group Financial Controller. Reporting to the Group Finance Director this is a key role within a dynamic and expanding organisation, responsible for ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and effective cash management across the Group.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Reporting & Performance:
Prepare and review monthly management accounts and performance reports, ensuring accurate financial insights for decision-making.

Financial Control:
Maintain and enhance internal financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with policy and operational efficiency.

Compliance:
Support the preparation of statutory accounts, audit coordination, and timely submission of tax and VAT returns.

Cash Management:
Produce rolling cashflow forecasts and manage banking relationships to ensure liquidity and operational funding requirements are met.

Purchase Ledger Oversight:
Supervise the purchase ledger team, ensuring timely invoice processing, payment runs, reconciliations, and accurate reporting.

Treasury Management:
Ensure effective control of treasury activities, including FX transactions, covenant reporting, and bank MI reporting.

Payroll:
Liaise with external payroll providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Team Leadership:
Manage and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The person

Quallfied Accountant Strong technical accounting skills and experience working in a multi-entity or international environment an advantage

Proven ability to manage and develop a small team.

Excellent understanding of ERP and financial systems

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to work with senior management and external partners
