Clinical Team Manager – Children and Young People
Full-time | Permanent
Central Norwich (hub-based, with county-wide travel)
£42,600.45 per annum (37.5 hours per week)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Team Manager to lead and support a dynamic clinical team within a well-established Children and Young People’s (CYP) mental health service.
As Clinical Team Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage a diverse team of clinicians and therapeutic practitioners
- Support the delivery of high-quality, low-intensity psychological interventions
- Oversee teams including waiting list coordination, Systemic Therapists, Counsellors, CBT Therapists, Play Therapists and other practitioners
- Hold a clinical caseload
- Provide organisational oversight to ensure responsive, safe and effective service delivery
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Contribute to ongoing service development and quality improvement
The service provides 1:1 therapy, group and early intervention programmes to children and young people aged 4–18 experiencing social, emotional and behavioural challenges, alongside parent-led and family-based support. The wider service works collaboratively with partner providers to support referrals for those aged 0–25.
Qualifications Essential- Diploma level (or higher) qualification in a recognised therapeutic modality
- Accredited with a relevant professional body (e.g. BACP, UKCP, BAPT, HCPC)
- Level 3 Safeguarding Children and Young People training
- Professional body membership
- Accredited or working towards accreditation
- Minimum 2 years’ experience managing complex clinical caseloads
- 2–4 years’ post-qualification therapeutic experience within a CYP mental health setting
- Experience leading and supervising multi-disciplinary teams
- Supervisory experience within CYP mental health
- Experience delivering clinical supervision
- Has strong clinical and managerial experience
- Demonstrates effective leadership and supervision skills
- Is organised, forward-thinking and proactive
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments
- Is confident supporting trainees, early career professionals, and experienced clinicians
- Has flexibility and is able to travel across the county as required
