Social Worker Contract Position in West Norfolk

About

the Role

As a Social Worker - (Adults), your primary responsibilities will include managing individual cases related to older persons and those with physical disabilities. You will be based at Priory House in King's Lynn and will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments and safeguarding services across West Norfolk. This position is initially paid on a temporary basis for 3 months, with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Care Act assessments and reviews
  • Manage Mental Capacity Act (MCA) cases to ensure best practice
  • Handle safeguarding cases to protect vulnerable adults
  • Work independently while collaborating closely with community teams
  • Hold your own caseload, ensuring timely and effective interventions
  • Document all case activities accurately and maintain confidentiality
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience working with adults, particularly older persons and those with physical disabilities
  • Knowledge of Care Act 2014, MCA, and safeguarding procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid social work qualification and registration (e.g., BASW or HCPC registration)
