Job overviewThe Central Locality Acute Services are looking to recruit a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to join our Crisis and Home Treatment Team (CRHT), based at The Weavers, Hellesdon Hospital.
We are looking for someone with experience of working psychologically with adults with complex presentations who are experiencing a high level of distress. Your role will be multi-faceted, carrying out assessments and delivering brief evidence based interventions.
You will be supporting the wider multi-disciplinary team in the promotion of psychologically informed ways of working such as embedding a formulation approach to risk, treatment and safety plans as well as use of psychological skills workbooks, group interventions and work with family/carers.
There will also be the opportunity to extended pieces of therapy work to support your ongoing skills and development in specific therapy models.
We are a friendly, welcoming and supportive psychology team comprising of 11 clinicians ranging from B4 Assistant Psychologists to B8c Associate Director of Psychology/Consultant Clinical Psychologist. We come with a range of specialist interests and therapy expertise and have strong links to the UEA doctorate course.
Main duties of the job- Completing assessments/formulations with the client to help guide the CRHT treatment plan and make recommendations for ongoing psychological care/treatment upon discharge.
- Completing brief and extended psychological interventions using evidence based models.
- Working closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team to support trauma-informed, psychological thinking and promotion of risk formulation/safety planning to inform the team's intervention and discharge plans.
- Supervision of trainee psychologists, where appropriate.
- Offering regular reflective practice and team formulations to the wider teams as well as training on a range of relevant topics.
- Working on relevant research projects, audits, data analysis and trust related wider projects that help support and promote national initiatives and priorities in the delivery of inpatient care.
