Position: UEA Sportspark Performance Physiotherapist

Salary on appointment will be £37,126 per annum (pro-rata), with an annual increment up to £38,299 per annum (pro rata).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a physiotherapist to join theUEA Sport and Commercial division as a Performance Physiotherapist. The role will work closely with a wide range of clients seeking treatment. The key role will be to work with high-performance athletes including injury prevention and management during their pursuit of athletic excellence. The client group will include students who are part of the uea+sport performance sport programme, talented athletes who are part of UEA Sportspark programmes and also Sportspark community users.

The successful applicant will become an active member of the wider UEA Sportspark multidisciplinary team (MDT), liaising with other professionals to deliver a holistic approach to treatment, leading to performance enhancement. They will encourage exercise and movement, advising patients on recovery and leading a healthy lifestyle. Reporting will be to the Lead Performance Physiotherapist, UEA Student Performance Sport Manager and the Sportspark Fitness Manager.

This role will act as a source of expertise for the physiotherapy assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal problems. The successful candidate will also supervise placement students undertaking pre-registration Physiotherapy degree programmes.

Applicants must have a minimum of two years’ experience of working as a qualified physiotherapist, with a Physiotherapy Pre-Registration Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an active practicing physiotherapist.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child and Vulnerable Adult Barred Lists. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or vulnerable adults.

Thispart‑post(0.8 FTE) is available from 4 November 2026 on anindefinitebasis.
